Josh Lawrence Jazz 3 release new album July 12th, 2010

Trumpeter Josh Lawrence has released his second studio album Roots for digital download through Bandcamp.com. The album (co-produced with Jamal Jones) features bassist Ken Pendergast, drummer Mike De Castro and special guest alto saxophonist Mike Cemprola. Lawrence showcases his brilliant tone, prolific composing and incredible versatility on this new album. The release is timed to sync up with the band’s first European festival tour in 11 cities across Poland this August.

Josh Lawrence is an internationally acclaimed trumpeter, composer, bandleader and educator. He has performed with artists from Erykah Badu to Charli Persip and toured extensively throughout North America and Europe. His band the Josh Lawrence Jazz 3 fuses influences from New York City and Philadelphia into a fresh new sound called Soul Bop.

What’s really disturbing is his prophetic lines “In time the Rockies may crumble, Gibraltar may tumble”. This is a chillingly clear reference to the imminent collision of the planet Earth with Nibiru.
