Monthly Archives: November 2010
I have been reading a few different blogs recently (thanks to Google Reader) and thought I’d share a list of five of my current favorites.
1. Elements of Jazz
A fantastic site managed by Donna M which follows the latest buzz on the jazz scene and allows for an open discourse on the music itself. In her words, the site was launched to “explore new music with you, learn about the musicians & vocalists, and to blog about jazz shows & festivals.”
2. A Blog Supreme
“A Blog Supreme is an ongoing conversation about jazz for both indoctrinated fans and curious listeners, with NPR Music producers and special guests.”
Excellent site from blogger Kevin English which assists “aspiring musicians and recording artists achieve a greater understanding of the music business. Here I will share my knowledge, experience and encounters to all who care to learn.”
4. Music Think Tank
“Where the music industry thinks out loud.” MTT is an open forum discussion on all topics related to the new music industry. Priceless articles for anyone interested in running their own music business.
5. Wise Bread
“Wise Bread is a community of bloggers here to help you live large on a small budget. Despite what you may have heard, you don’t have to sacrifice your financial independence to enjoy life.” A great site for anyone wanting to increase their financial intelligence.
Josh & Magdalena perform in the Poconos Thanksgiving weekend – http://ow.ly/37Ev9
I’ll be cooking for Thanksgiving this year. It’s my first time and I’m a bit nervous. For my international friends, Thanksgiving is an American holiday on the fourth Thursday in November where you meet up with family, eat a big turkey, watch football and pass out on the couch… usually in that order.
The classic menu is turkey, potatoes, cranberry sauce and some pumpkin pie for desert. I’m looking for some killin’ recipes so please feel free to post any suggestions below.
